A Gift Guide for the Natural Minded Mama To Be
I love gift guides. I love giving gifts. I love being thoughtful and blessing another person with things that I love they will love.
But I am also very picky.
please note there may be affiliate links, when you decide to purchase anything through these links I get a small commissions at NO extra cost to you, it helps me to keep running this blog
I try to give gifts that will be useful, natural and encourage or help with a healthy lifestyle. But I also want the person I am gifting to love them.
For new mamas my absolute favorite gift to give is nourishing food but sometimes you just can’t or don’t want to give food.
Enter this gift guide.
I have compiled some of my favorite things to give the natural minded (or about to be natural minded) mama.
Earth Mama Angel Baby Post Partum Herbal Pads
I used these pads after my last birth and they were amazing! Store them in the freezer for numbing effect and I really think they helped with my healing.
Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Spray
I made this DIY version but having a spray like this is crucial to comfort after baby. The mama to be will thank you endlessly for this stuff.
Nosfrida
Nosfrida is the BEST life saver during the first baby cold (it will happen eventually, trust me). And no, you will not get boogers in your mouth. I promise.
Mommee Coffee
The thing I love about this coffee is that it lets you pick your caffeine level AND they use the Swiss Water Process for the decaffeination of the coffee. Normal decaf goes through a chemical filled process to remove the caffeine but not this coffee! Plus it’s organic and fair trade. We all know mama’s need their coffee.
Natural Wood Baby Toys
These non-toxic wood toys are great for learning fine motor skills and make great teethers!
Nourishing Traditions
This book is my kitchen bible. I use it on almost a daily basis. It might seem weird to give a cookbook to a new mama but it’s not just a cookbook. It is packed with nutritional information and baby nutrition as well. We all know how important nutrition is and it is doubly important for a recovering mama and growing baby.
Organic Sleepers
I know it might seem silly to buy organic clothes but considering our skin is our largest organ I think it’s pretty important that we limit the toxins that come into contact with it. Especially for the wee baby. Plus this one is a sleeper that is 100% cotton and organic. My kids live in sleepers. They are the perfect solution to losing socks and changing diapers.
Alter Eco Truffles
And of course chocolate. But only the absolute best chocolate for the new mama. Seriously these truffles are amazing. Melt in your mouth, chocolate-y goodness.
I’m so excited that your blog is live!!! 🙂 I have never heard of this coffee but it sounds amazing! I’m considering a nosefrieda but it grosses me out a little.
Haha that is what a lot of people say about the nosfrida! But I promise you won’t get boogers in your mouth and it totally disassembles so you can wash it. If you can do cloth diapers you can do this!
I wish I would have read this post sooner!! We just had a baby two weeks ago. I am basically healed at this point, but would have loved to have tried the natural healing products listed in this blog.
Hey you found me! 😉 you can always try the coffee or chocolate! Its never too late for those.
I love Alter Eco truffles! And I clicked on your link to the herbal pads, but it went to the tea instead. Thought I’d let you know. 🙂
oh! Thank you for letting me know that! And the Alter eco truffles are so good, a little too good…
Thank you for the coffee suggestion. I love coffee but can’t drink it because it makes my anxiety worse.
